The sculpture portrays a little boy wearing a gas mask and preparing to pull the pin on a clear, resin grenade. Inside is a heart which represents the vaccine and the hope that we have placed in its power.

The soundtrack to the film is also entitled ‘Hope’ and will be released along with three other tracks on an EP on bespoke memory cards inside the sculptures.
Artists and friends Dan and Maxim spent a year over lockdown creating this ambitious, multi-platform collaboration to send a positive message of hope out into a world that had been thrown into emotional turmoil. They are donating several of the sculptures to organisations raising funds for those who have been most affected by the pandemic including NHS Charities Together, YoungMinds and Shelter.
